What arrangements should be made for the band on the night of the event?
The band will need a meal, access to electrical power, and a covered area on a flat, dry surface to perform. No stage is required for our setup.
What events do you play at?
This band is highly experienced and is perfect for any event, be it a wedding, private party or corporate event, London’s Finest never fails to impress and audience and get everyone up dancing!
What styles of music do you play?
Everything and anything. This is a luxury service so whatever style of music you want the band are always happy to accommodate. For examples of music, please see the list of sets above and feel free to request multiple styles if you would like.
Can I request a specific song?
Yes, we are happy to learn new music as long as there is suitable notice of at least one month. It is possible to learn new music at shorter notice but this may cost an extra fee as it will require extra rehearsal time.
How long does the band play for?
Our standard performance duration is typically two sets of 45 minutes each, with a break in between. However, we are flexible and can accommodate shorter 60-minute sets or even three sets if required. Please specify your preferences when booking, and we will provide you with an accurate quote based on your event’s needs.
Can we have music between sets?
Absolutely! Rest assured, the music keeps going even between and after the band’s set! We ensure there’s a playlist featuring your requested songs playing between sets at a minimum.
If you’re looking for someone behind the decks to take requests, you can opt to have a band member DJ for an additional cost, keeping the energy high throughout your event. And for the ultimate party experience, you can also choose to have one of our professional DJs entertain the crowd between band sets.
What is the recommended band size?
For the best sound quality and versatility, we recommend a band consisting of five musicians. This typically includes a guitarist, bassist, drummer, vocalist, and either a second guitarist or keyboardist. This lineup ensures a dynamic and engaging performance across various musical styles.
However, we understand that each event is unique, and we’re flexible to accommodate different requirements. Our band can range from a four-piece ensemble to a larger group with ten or more members, including brass, saxophone, percussion and strings if requested. This flexibility allows us to tailor our performance to meet the specific needs and preferences of our clients, ensuring a memorable experience for all attendees.
What do the band wear?
Smart casual, however we are always happy to dress more formally (on informally) if requested
What happens if everything runs over and you are on later than scheduled
If the event exceeds the planned duration, it’s important to adhere to the agreed-upon schedule. As per our contract, the musicians will conclude their performance at the specified time. However, should the client desire to extend the event beyond the initially agreed timeframe, the musicians can accommodate this request. Please note, there will be an additional cost for any extended performance time, as outlined in the contract previously provided. This approach ensures transparency and clarity regarding any potential overtime charges, allowing for flexibility while also upholding the terms of our agreement.
Does the band provide a sound system?
Yes, for parties taking place in a medium sized room accommodating up to 150 people, we can supply a sound system. However, for larger corporate events held in substantial venues, we typically utilise the venue’s sound system. If the venue doesn’t have its own system, we can provide one, but this would involve an extra cost.
Does the band provide a lighting?
Yes, the band provides basic stage lighting as part of our service. We understand the importance of creating the right ambiance for your event, and our basic stage lighting helps enhance the performance and atmosphere. However, if additional or more elaborate lighting is desired, we can provide it for an extra fee. Our team can work with you to create a lighting setup that complements the mood and theme of your event, ensuring a visually stunning experience for your guests.
Can you provide a staging and a bigger lighting rig for outdoor events and parties?
Yes, we can provide staging and a larger lighting rig for outdoor events and parties. We have a partnership with a production company that offers top-of-the-range staging and lighting equipment suitable for various events. Whether it’s an outdoor corporate event or a private party, we can arrange for the setup. All we need is access for vans to facilitate the setup process.
Is the band able to perform outdoors?
Certainly! While we’re capable of performing outdoors, it’s essential to ensure we have adequate cover and a flat, dry surface to play on. Our instruments are sensitive to moisture and heat, which can affect their sound quality and safety. To prevent any issues, please consider these factors when arranging the band’s setup, and it’s always wise to have a backup plan in case of unexpected weather conditions.
